School Philosophy
Modi School's philosophy is centered on the holistic development of every child, focusing on four key spheres:
1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
- All subjects are taught in detail using audio-visual aids, practicals, and projects.
- Tests focus on application-based knowledge instead of direct questions.
- Multi-level modules draw out students’ potential with questions of varying difficulty.
2. Health Quotient (HQ)
- Daily yoga, pranayama, and Mass PT promote fitness and discipline.
- Nutritious Saatvik food is provided, with organic vegetables and dairy from trusted sources.
- Wide range of indoor and outdoor sports with proven achievements.
- 24/7 healthcare: male & female nurse, daily doctor visits, and ambulance on standby.
3. Emotional Quotient (EQ)
- Instills kindness, empathy, and positivity through prayers and guidance.
- Founder-designed prayer book and motivational resources nurture balanced thinking.
- Library and videos enhance emotional and spiritual development.
- No phones, TVs, or newspapers—ensuring focus and protection from distractions.
4. Spiritual Quotient (SQ)
- Teaches connection of soul, body, deeds, and God through books and expert sessions.
- Encourages understanding of karma, responsibilities, and spirituality.
- Prepares students to be good citizens, family members, and human beings.
- Promotes pluralism—respecting all cultures, castes, and religions equally.
A Home Away from Home: Our Hostels
The school's four hostels are strategically located away from the city’s hustle and bustle, providing a serene environment of fresh air and natural surroundings. The buildings are state-of-the-art and spread across a 7-acre campus. The school has separate hostels for boys and girls with tight vigilance over their daily study and routines.
The founder, Dr. Rashmikant Modi, and Smt. Kunjal Rashmikant Modi, take the entire responsibility for the care of the hostelites. They make frequent personal visits to the hostel to check on the physical and mental well-being of the students, ensuring their food and care are of the highest standard and addressing any feelings of homesickness. This level of personal interest in the lives they are trusted with is a rare quality to find, reflecting their profound commitment to the students' holistic development.
Physical and Mental Wellness
The day starts with energetic Yoga and meditation. The school believes in a holistic approach to health, with students engaging in daily exercises, yoga, and pranayama to ensure physical fitness, balancing their Health Quotient (HQ). The extensive library and reading programmes, monitored by a well-trained reading supervisor, promote intellectual growth.
- We have three student counselors to ensure the mental well-being of the students.
- A male and female nurse are present 24/7, an ambulance is always available, and doctors visit daily. For any emergency, the student is immediately taken to the hospital.
- For mental development, the school has a huge library with a variety of books and motivational videos that are showcased regularly. Retreats are planned, and seminars and sessions are conducted by well-known figures like Swamijis to help students understand the real joy and balance of life.
- The daily yoga and meditation keep our children confident and strong in whatever they do.
A Commitment to Pure, Nutritious Food
The school's food philosophy is rooted in providing pure, nutritious, and Saatvik food that gives students the feeling of home. The menu, designed by a dedicated Nutritionist, is carefully planned to offer variety and balance.
- The aspect of pluralism is followed in the food facility, and all children are supported for the same.
- A typical lunch includes a protein-rich Dal, one vegetable curry, and one pulses dish.
- The school strictly avoids ingredients with "tamas" quality, such as onion and garlic. Potatoes are also avoided to reduce their carbohydrate intake, as they are a common cause of obesity.
- A majority of the food is prepared in groundnut oil, a healthy choice from the local soil. The school does not use palm oil at all.
- It prioritizes the use of organic products like jaggery, curd, and buttermilk.
- Pure Ghee is prepared at the hostel.
- For younger children, milk is provided from the school's very own Gaushala (Gir Cows), while elder students are provided with milk from trusted dairies like Mahi Dairy and Amul Dairy.
